About the event

The VA Transitioning Servicemember/Veteran And Suicide Prevention Center (or VA TASC) provides this daylong Veteran Cultural Competence Training (VCCT) to help bridge the gap between civilians and Veterans and to better support Veterans in their post-service journey. VCCT is an evidence-based training already offered to more than 2,000 professionals within the government, medical, nonprofit, and private spheres to improve their competence in working with Veterans.

Healthcare professionals (e.g., counselors, medical doctors, nurses, psychologists, and social workers) are eligible to receive 5.5 CE's for this training. Upon completion of the training, there will also be an opportunity to learn more about becoming a volunteer peer sponsor as part of the VA's Veteran Sponsorship Initiative.
