Kiran Devaraj, MD

Dr. Devaraj has practiced psychiatry in WV for over 20 years. He completed his Medical School at Leeds University School of medicine in England and finished his psychiatry residency at WVU CAMC in Charleston West Virginia. During his residency, he was Co-chief resident in his 3rd and 4th years. He has most recently been the chief medical officer/medical director of Highland Hospital. He has a broad range of experience in treating psychiatric problems and substance abuse. He has experience in treating all ages and will be seeing children adolescents and Adults

Kayla Roe is a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a passion for providing comprehensive mental health care across the lifespan. With a strong foundation in nursing and advanced training in psychiatric care, Kayla is committed to delivering personalized and compassionate care to individuals of all ages, from children to older adults, facing a wide range of mental health challenges.
Kayla began her nursing journey by earning a Registered Nurse (RN) degree from BridgeValley Community and Technical College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University. She then pursued a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Marshall University, specializing in psychiatric mental health at Shenandoah University, which equipped her with the skills to assess, diagnose, and treat a broad spectrum of mental health disorders.
As a board-certified PMHNP, Kayla is fully capable of providing a wide array of psychiatric services, including medication management, psychotherapy, and holistic care approaches. She is particularly focused on creating tailored treatment plans that address each patient’s unique needs, ensuring high-quality care that supports both mental and emotional well-being.
Kayla takes a whole-person approach to care, working closely with patients and their families to build trusting relationships and empowering individuals to take an active role in their mental health journey. Whether treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, or other mental health conditions, she is committed to providing expert care with confidence and compassion.
In addition to her clinical work, Kayla contributes in her spare time as a nursing instructor at WVJC, training future RNs, and is a passionate advocate for both patients and nurses through her work with the West Virginia Nurses Association. She is also committed to lifelong learning and staying current with the latest research and practices in psychiatric nursing to continually enhance patient outcomes. Kayla is dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard and understood.

Terri Belcher, PA
Physician's Assistant
Terri Belcher is a physician assistant specializing in psychiatry at PSIMED Morgantown. She was born and raised in Princeton, WV. Terri received her bachelor's degree in Biology from West Virginia University prior to her PA training. She attended the University of Charleston and completed her masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She has been practicing as a physician assistant within psychiatry since 2017.

I completed my nursing education at West Virginia University (WVU) and went on to earn my Family Nurse Practitioner degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. My journey in mental health led me back to WVU, where I furthered my education and specialized in Psychiatric Mental Health.
With extensive experience in the mental health field, I have dedicated my career to understanding and addressing a wide range of mental health disorders. While my passion lies in addiction medicine, I am well-versed in treating conditions ranging from acute psychosis to chronic anxiety and depression. My experience has provided me with the opportunity to support individuals across all age groups and diverse backgrounds.
I am passionate about providing compassionate and comprehensive care, and I strive to empower my patients on their journey to mental wellness.

Monica McMillian, MA
Licensed Psychologist
Monica McMillian is a West Virginia licensed psychologist. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from West Virginia State University and a Master's of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Marshall University Graduate College. As a licensed psychologist, Monica has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, treating a variety of psychiatric and emotional conditions. Monica also performs comprehensive psychological evaluations.

Cathy Rasnake, LPC

Cathy Rasnake is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Advanced Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. She has provided services in the behavioral health field for over 25 years, she joined the PSIMED team in May 2015. Cathy is an accomplished, skilled and focused medical professional committed to providing high quality treatment for individuals, couples and families presenting with a variety of behavioral health needs.
Cathy is a member of the American Counseling Association and NAADAC, the Association of Addiction Professionals. Her special interests are in the treatment of mood disorders and anxiety disorders which include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, addiction and substance abuse issues, grief/loss, anger management and codependency.

Nikki Erwin, LPC

Nikki Erwin, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor, is a proud graduate of Marshall University. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2006 and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2009. She has been employed by PSIMED for over seven years providing counseling for adolescents involved with the juvenile justice system.

Kari Kahl, MS, CMHC, NCC

I completed my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I was hired right after graduation at my intern site, Chestnut Ridge Counseling Services, Inc, as an outpatient therapist. Sometime later I was offered a position as the Preston County Drug Court and Community Corrections Therapist where I provided mental health therapy as well as substance abuse therapy. I then provided clinical and administrative supervision to my staff at the Morgantown office of Wellspring Family Services as the Site Director and carried a caseload of clients providing therapy. I am currently working here at PSIMED as a Therapist. I look forward to helping many clients here as well as learning and growing as an individual.

Melinda Himstedt, MSW, LICSW, (Licensed Independent Client Social Worker.) She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Human Science, with a concentration in Child and Family Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Development from East Tennessee State University in December 2000. She received her Masters in Social Work in 2013 from West Virginia University and has been a licensed social worker since 2013. Melinda has worked as a licensed clinical therapist providing services to adolescents ages 11-17, adults, and families who need help in the following areas: Depression, Grief, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD both civilian and military), Trauma, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Addictions/Substance Abuse, Personality disorders, and other conditions. Melinda is primarily a cognitive behavioral therapist. However, she uses other approaches to include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Interventions, Strengths-based approaches, and other modalities as needed. Melinda has also been trained as a critical incident responder through the Cabell County Huntington WV Emergency Management Services. Prior to onboarding with PSIMED, she worked with the WV Nationall Guard / Air National Guard serving Members and theri Families, Veterans as the Director of Psycholgical Health and Suicide Prevention Program Manager. Melinda has returned to private clinical practice and is looking forward to helping those who need to find balance and cope with stressors to manage day to day struggles

I am a licensed professional counselor in Morgantown, WV with over 13 years of experience as a therapist and over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. I work from an integrated, person-centered approach and use a variety of styles to best meet the needs of my clients. I have a background working with adults experiencing addiction, mood disorders, grief, codependency, life changes and past trauma. I strive to create a warm welcoming space that is supportive and empowering. I view therapy as a collaborative journey that can help my clients break old patterns that are no longer effective while building tools to navigate life’s challenges in order to create the life they want. I specialize in EMDR and helping clients reprocess stressful events and experiences from the past. I also incorporate techniques from DBT, REBT, and TA as well as elements from IFS to create an individualized treatment approach for each client.
